July 4th 2010

Greetings from the Goddard Greenhouse !

The greenhouse is being run by student volunteers. During your residency, stop by. There is always watering or weeding to be done.

Thanks to Sam and Kristin who stopped by during the MFA residency last week. We planted Cilantro and it should be ready in 5- 6 weeks.
We have the following crops in progress:
Beets and beet greens ( which were also part of last weeks' menu, thank you Preston)
Red Basil, Genovese Basil, and Lemon Basil
Pumpkins, cucumbers, Fenugreek, Purslane, Cilantro and Dille

The German Chamomile is growing slow but steady.

I look forward to meeting other students at the greenhouse.
Happy Fourth of July!

Pictures to follow.
